The internet is blaming Meghan Markle for the Queen's death

The internet will indeed find every possible reason to blame Meghan Markle for whatever drama is going on in the royal family. When the Queen of England passed away on September 8, 2022. While many people mourned this loss appropriately, a few people online found a way to give it all back to poor Meg. While some of the comments clearly have a humorous tone, others are more sinister.

It was initially announced that doctors were monitoring the Queen with the statement: “Following further assessment this morning, the Queen’s doctors are concerned about Her Majesty’s health and have recommended that she remain under medical observation. The Queen remains comfortable at Balmoral as well.

As soon as the gathering at Balmoral began, people on Twitter came up with the idea that the Queen’s ill health had something to do with Meghan Markle. The BBC reported that she will not attend Balmoral with her husband. Considering the way she’s been treated by the entire family, we’re not surprised! Kate Middleton was also a no-show, but that didn’t stop people from suggesting that the family was banning Meghan from Balmoral.

Others are shaking their heads at these rumours, which appear to stem from the same hatred Meg has been dealing with since she started dating Prince Harry. Even though the Queen was 96 years old and in failing health, the race-haters somehow found a brand new conspiracy theory they couldn’t let go of.

The Queen’s eldest son, Charles, released the following statement when the Queen died on September 8:

“The death of my beloved mother, Her Majesty the Queen, is a moment of greatest sadness for me and all the members of my family. We deeply mourn the passing of a respected sovereign and a much-loved mother. I know her loss will be deeply felt across the country, the Kingdoms and the Commonwealth and by countless people around the world. During this period of mourning and change, my family and I will be comforted and supported by knowing the esteem and deep affection in which the Queen was so widely held.

The news and media also came in for some criticism, with one Twitter user writing that “tabloid hoaxes” had been allowed to “port their racist hatred of #MeghanMarkle to MSM like ABC, CBS and NBC in the US by the same clowns”. Some wonder how deeply grieving some citizens of the United Kingdom are if they still find the strength to say such mean things about Harry’s wife.

From the beginning, Megan is attacked from all angles. Part of it comes from the fact that she spent years working in the entertainment industry instead of having proper experience, the other part comes from people being upset that she went through a divorce before. And another ugly part is the deep rooted racism in the UK and the royal family.

Although Meghan seemed on the surface to get on well with the Queen, there was an apparent row with some other members of the family, and when people found out about the terrible statements made about her and her son Archie, it’s no wonder she made the decision to leave with her husband rather than suffer the violence.

The reality is that the Queen of England lived a long and happy life, beginning her life as a prominent royal at the age of 25. She reigned through many revolutionary events such as the space race, the British invasion and the establishment of the European Union. She will be remembered for her flamboyant outfits, elegant and regal demeanor, and history-making actions, however controversial.

With movies like The Queen and series like The Crown continuing her legacy, it’s clear that her story is completely different from Meghan’s. People should focus on her 70-year reign and wonder if King Charles will soon be seen on the Canadian $20 bill.

We need to learn from history and leave Meghan alone – no one knows this better than Prince Harry, who had to tragically deal with the death of his own mother due to the stalking, harassing nature of the press and public. Let’s hope Harry and his wife find a way to stop the gossip and peacefully deal with the loss of their older family member.
