New Jersey mom Lindsay Hay is a legit superhero — after miraculously giving birth to quadruplets, she took to Instagram to reveal what it’s like to be pregnant with four babies at once. Along with posting striking photos on Instagram, Lindsey went into more depth about how having four little ones at once has changed her entire life for the better.
Hay was already a mother to her three-year-old son, Carson, and she and her husband, Simon, decided it was time for Carson to have a little brother or sister. Unfortunately, the journey was not so easy. While visiting to become a parent for the second time, Lindsay experienced infertility and as many as five miscarriages. Her doctor said it was due to poor egg quality and therefore caused the repeated pregnancy losses.
As devastating as this was for Lindsey Hay and her husband, the couple remained optimistic and it would soon pay off. Finally, the pregnancy test came back positive and she would give birth to not one, but four babies! This is due to follistim. As blessed as they felt, the news was shocking and overwhelming, especially considering the fact that doctors had warned Lindsey that her body would not be strong enough to carry four babies.
Despite the recommendation of selective pregnancy reduction, the couple continued with their quadruplets. Lindsey’s full-term pregnancy photos are nothing short of extraordinary, and rightly so
it’s obvious she’s one strong mom! As she documented the pregnancy and shared it on Facebook and Instagram, people began to notice.
Of course, the normal things that come with pregnancy were heightened, like health checkups and morning sickness. The whole process was an understandable rollercoaster of fear, excitement and hope.
Finally, Lindsey and Simon welcomed their four new babies on July 23, 2019 via C-section. They had three boys and one girl named Grayson James, Kayden Michael, Lucas William and Madison Grace. Posting their before and after images on social media, she posted the caption,
“I carried these sweet babies for 30 weeks and 4 days on the inside and here they are at 30 weeks and 4 days on the outside! Hands full, heart full is an understatement! They exceeded every hope and dream I had imagined during my pregnancy and even though time is flying by, I know the best is yet to come.
Behind these babies are new marks, rolls, and jumps that you can’t see, but they also came with new strengths that I didn’t have before either. We have been so BLESSED and I will never allow myself to take this life for granted.”
Even after giving birth to the babies, Lindsay is still shocked by the fact that her body actually gave birth to them. Today, the Hayes household is filled with a little more chaos, laughter and love. As these four get older, we can’t wait to see what’s next for this adorable family.
