The oldest woman alive
Most people would agree that wisdom comes with age. If that’s the case, there is a woman who may be the wisest person in the world. She is believed to be the oldest living woman in the world. For her every day is a blessing.
Among her friends they call her Mama Esifiho. She has a knowledge of the world that has never been recorded in books and that has been lost to time.
Come back, Nigeria
Mama Esifiho remembers everything, although not much is known about her origins. Born in Abuja, Nigeria, in 1832, she came from humble beginnings.
He was able to see the world at a completely different time. Over the next two centuries, humanity would evolve.
In his youth he traveled often, but moved to a quieter town called Brass and has lived there ever since. Her goal was to learn more about the world around her.
When he was young he started traveling. However, it was harder than it seemed. Nowadays, people take modern travel for granted. Back then, if he wanted to travel, he had to do it the hard way.
It was difficult
It was before the luxuries of modern tourism that Mama Esifiho toured the continent where she was born. Neither airplanes nor zeppelins were familiar to him.
It wasn’t until around 1900 that air travel began to take off. He couldn’t get on a plane like we do today. Although, that was not all.
Working with what I had
Surprisingly, the first carriage was not invented until 1886. Despite the invention of the locomotive just eight years before his birth, Nigeria would not have trains for decades.
Since boats were also not an option, Mama Esifiho was left with only one option to travel around the continent. To succeed, she had to use what God had given her.
Mama Esifiho had no other option. She had to travel the old fashioned way. She had to walk and because of that she lived a long life.
While searching for his calling, he traveled to the pyramids of Egypt and the southern tip of Africa. On his travels he learned many things that few people know today.
After 35 years abroad, he decided to return home and live out the rest of his days in his native country. His ambitions had been fulfilled after a decade of travel.
However, that does not mean that he was unaware of what was happening in the rest of the world and what consequences it could have. Everything seemed too familiar to him.
Everything evolved around him
He watched the world evolve around him. Some changes were welcome, such as modern health care and long-distance telephone calls. In his opinion, not everything was a good change.
Among them were the many wars she had to endure. The African campaign in World War II and countless civil wars since then. But now, she has a message for today’s generation.
She Sees Everything
Social media, fast food, and addictions are other changes she doesn’t think benefit humanity. As a child, she didn’t know of any of these things.
Since her great-great-grandson keeps up with modern trends and technology, she sees everything the new world has to offer, including the good and the bad. Given her wisdom, she’s a respected elder in her community.
Her name alone should convey the impression that her community holds her in high esteem. Her advice is sought by people all over Nigeria. They travel far and wide just to meet her.
However, she doesn’t do it on a whim. When wisdom is imparted in large doses, it can actually be harmful, and she knows this fact. Nevertheless, she wishes more young people could hear what she has to say to them.
She knows she’s a walking wonder of science but doesn’t just trust anyone. She has known for many years that only foolish people trust easily.
This is why she doesn’t take on any interviewers. She prefers the solitude of the world and the peace she is afforded by having a close-knit community that understands her way of life.
Imparting A Bit Of Knowledge
But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t want to try and give a little bit of knowledge to the world around her. At 191, she’s seen so many things that it would only make sense that she can help give people perspective.
She has a great deal on her mind with how long she has lived on this planet. She has a lot to say.
Things She Would Change
Mama Esifiho wishes her wisdom could reach more than just her community. She wants youths everywhere to know that life is worth living to the fullest. Social media and digital things are only make-believe.
She’s watched people devolve into their devices, be it phones, computers, or TVs. She wishes they would go out more.
Another thing that she wishes for is for people to be more peaceful. Violence and hate only breed chaos in her mind. If the world could be at peace and everyone looked after each other like a community, then it would be a better place.
But that’s not everything. She also has a message for the future. She’s lived long enough to be able to make a prediction.
Mama Esifiho has seen how the world shapes and changes, and she feels she’s one of the only people with the right knowledge to make a prediction about the future.
But she knows that not many people will be willing to accept it. It’s a dooming message that foreshadows the worst event in history. But will people even listen if she tells them? Or will she be ignored?
